The Birkenstock Natural Skin Care Exfoliating Body Scrub is a creamy body scrub which gently and effectively removes dead skin cells. It reinvigorates the skin and leaves it looking radiantly fresh and smooth. Fine cranberry seeds and volcanic sand cleanse, free the skin from dead cells and refine the pores. This promotes the skin’s natural renewal. In addition to cork oak extract, valuable organic oils, such as jojoba oil, shea butter and macadamia nut oil, protect the skin from drying out and leave the skin feeling velvety soft.

Application
Apply as required once per week in circular movements on damp skin and rinse off with lukewarm water. The Exfoliating Body Scrub does not only leave your skin feeling velvety soft, it also perfectly prepares your skin for follow-up treatments with rich skincare products. After exfoliation, the skin’s ability to absorb active ingredients is improved, making skincare products more effective. The product is also suitable as a foot scrub. Give your feet a warm foot bath for approx. 10-15 minutes and then massage the scrub throughly into the feet – especially the very rough areas – and rinse off with lukewarm water. We then recommend applying one of our Natural Comfort foot care products.

CRANBERRY SEED POWDER: has a gentle yet thorough exfoliating effect. It smooths and purifies the skin, and contains multiple unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids).
VOLCANIC SAND: intensively cleanses the skin. It refines the texture of the skin and leaves it looking more even.
ORGANIC SHEA BUTTER: natural shea butter contains a high percentage of essential cosmetic ingredients, including phytosterols, wax ester, tocopherols, antioxidant catechins and gallic acid, as well as skin-friendly fatty acids. It has an antioxidant effect and regulates moisture content. Thanks to the wide range of ingredients, it has a moisturising, soothing and smoothing effect. It strengthens the lipid barrier of the outermost layer of skin and relaxes irritated and stressed skin. Natural organic shea butter is ideal for treating dry, neurodermitic and barrier-damaged skin.
ORGANIC MACADAMIA NUT OIL: is an excellent oil for dry, rough and sensitive skin as its fatty acid composition is similar to that of human sebum. It has an incredible smoothing and regenerating effect.
ORGANIC JOJOBA OIL: is a natural moisturiser and helps the skin to retain moisture. The specific structure of jojoba oil means that it is broken down very slowly by the skin’s own lipases and therefore provides the outermost layer of skin with reliable and long-lasting protection from water loss, without feeling greasy. These factors are essentially responsible for the moisturising effect of jojoba oil.
